Election Day Volunteers Needed

HOUGHTON SUPPORTERS NEEDED ON ELECTION DAY!!

WE NEED VOLUNTEERS FOR:

LEAFLETING AT POLLS* - We need you to give a few hours on Tuesday. We want a Houghton supporter at every poll in the state to give a palm card to people as they come to vote. For supplies (we have a new palm card that includes a partial reproduction of the ballot and a few campaign issues) and to volunteer some time contact (note: see warning below):

We want to put at least one Houghton campaign sign up at each and every poll. There are A LOT of polls. These need to go up no earlier than Monday afternoon, but no later than 7 am on Tuesday. To help with this contact:

* Warning!

No political/campaign material (signs or brochure distribution) is permitted within 50 feet of the door to the polling place or inside the voting area (where people check your registration and the voting booths are). A Houghton tee-shirt would be included in this prohibition.

However, outside the 50 foot perimeter area from the entrance to the poll, campaign workers can wear whatever they want, place signs, and hand out the palm cards as people come to vote.
